The President's compensation is subject to the same process as all other employees, including a designated salary grade level established by the Board. The Board may also retain outside independent compensation advisors, as deemed advisable by the Board, and review benchmark information to ensure that compensation of the President is reasonable. The Compensation and Benefits Work Group also coordinates with the President to develop the performance goals and criteria for recommendation to the Board.
Pt VI, Line 15b	Compensation of Officers is reviewed and approved by Human Resource Services and the President of AIPSO, provided that persons with conflicts of interest with respect to that compensation arrangement at issue are not involved in this review and approval. The compensation of the person is reviewed and approved using data as to comparable compensation for similarly qualified persons in functionally comparable positions at similarly situated organizations. AIPSO participates in a variety of well-known regional and national salary surveys conducted by third party sources to obtain survey data. There is contemporaneous documentation and recordkeeping with respect to deliberations and decisions regarding the compensation arrangement.
