	In 2019, ACCE Action led the way in the passage of a landmark tenant legislation that extended eviction protection to 9 million renters across California as well as established protections against rent gouging by capping rent increases to no more than 5% plus the local cost of inflation. In addition we helped win $11 million dollars to be spent moving housing off the speculative market and into community control and permanent affordability in Oakland, a model we hope to replicate across the state.
