1	Briefly describe the organization’s mission or most significant activities: The Pharmaceutical Product Stewardship Work Group is a nonprofit membership association of over 700 member and affiliated companies which are producers of branded and generic prescription and non-prescription pharmaceutical products. ppswg was incorporated in January 2014 under the laws of the district of Columbia. ppwsg operates for the purpose consistent with recognition of exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(6), which includes developing consensus and a framework for complying with local and state household-generated unwanted pharmaceutical product stewardship legislation, and raising awareness about appropriate disposal methods for unwanted Pharmaceutical products.

Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Pharmaceutical Product Stewardship Work Group (PPSWG) is a nonprofit membership association with over 700 members and affiliated companies which are producers of branded and generic prescription and non-prescription pharmaceutical products and sharps. PPSWGs mission is to provide infrastructure, guidance, and subject matter expertise to support member compliance and improve awareness of existing pharmaceutical disposal options.

PPSWG raises public awareness about appropriate disposal methods for household-generated unwanted pharmaceutical products. MED-Project LLC provides program management services.

Med-Project LLC's financial operations are reported on a consolidated basis with PPSWGs Federal Form 990 filing. The Group has adopted the authoritative guidance relating to uncertainty in income taxes included in ASC Topic Income Taxes. These provisions provide consistent guidance for the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entitys financial statements and prescribe a threshold of more likely than not for recognition and de-recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Group performed an evaluation of uncertain tax positions for the year ended December 31, 2019, and determined that there were no material matters that would require recognition in the financial statements or that may have an effect on its tax-exempt status. As of December 31, 2019, the statute of limitations for the Groups income tax returns for years 2016, 2017, 2018 remain open with the Federal, state, and local authorities. It is the Groups policy to recognize interest and/or penalties related to uncertain tax positions, if any, in income tax expense.

The PPSWG Executive Committee gives final approval to the PPSWG Executive Director to file the form with the IRS.
