	Eastern NC/CD9 Voter Protection - Advanced Carolina produced voter guides and targeted work in Congressional District 9 (CD-9). This program included dedicated staff whose work was solely focused on increasing voter turnout in CD-9. They were able to encourage and motivate residents of Blanden and Robeson counties to vote and made sure residents understood the importance of voting in special election as well as in every election.

	Primary Purpose Programming - Our organization's mission is to educate and mobilize African American and progressive voters to take charge of our communities by employing inclusive, committed and authentic engagement (organizing) in order to advance community-based political solutions. Our community mobilization and programming efforts to include building and infrastructure for county tables. The objective of these tables is to build capacity to prepare for the 2020 elections by developing leaders in the community who will encourage the participation and engagement of voters.

	Sustain the Veto - The Sustain the Veto campaign was a time-limited initiative to mobilize North Carolina voters, particulary African- Americans to express opposition to the 2019 state budget which did not meet the needs of the most marginalized North Carolinians and to encourage legislators to sustain the governor's veto until better legislation was written. After Gov. Cooper veteod the inital budget, we recognized an opportunity to apply public pressure to ensure representatives sustained the veto and went back to the negotiating table to consider the needs of all the state's residents. We used a combination of digital advertising and phone banking to spread our message and encourage residents to contact their representatives.
