26 informative training & luncheon programs conducted by industry professionals with informative topics related to building maintenance improvement for over 1,990 attendees.Conducted over 61 committee meetings attended by volunteer members committed to the professionalism and advancement of AAFAME. 49% increase from previous year.45 members participated in the Incentive Program to qualify for free dues & luncheons in 2020. This program has helped to increase the participation of engineer members at our luncheons, trainings & committee activities. We realized a 21% growth in membership ending the year with 682 members which includes a record number 379 building & facility engineers.We improved our technology platform by launching a new mobile friendly website with complimentary phone application.The 6th Annual ARCH (AAFAME Recognition of Champions) Award was presented at the Joint Luncheon with BOMA Austin held in March 2019 at the Hyatt Regency with 300+ in attendance. The winners picture was printed in an issue of the Austin Business Journal. Awarded the AAFAME Volunteer Star to 23 key members at our monthly luncheons who went above and beyond the call of duty while volunteering for AAFAME. Introduced a new Scholarship valued up to $1,200 for members & their children who are pursuing a career that could be applied towards a building maintenance industry position. AAFAME has awarded $36,800 towards designation scholarship since 2009.21% of our building engineer members maintain a BOMI (RPA, SMA, FMA) or LEED Designation. AAFAME continues to promote the BOMI Designation & Certificate programs as an avenue for our building engineer members to enhance their career potential.Over 1,000 industry professionals attended our signature event the 27th Annual Chili Slam held at Krieg Field in April 2019.Superheroes was the theme at our 17th Annual Vendor EXPO @ the Palmer Event Center with 75 vendor booths & 429 registrants. Palmer Event Center continues to be the preferred location for this event.We featured an Around the World theme at our annual family friendly 10th Annual Adventure Fest benefiting Helping Hand Home hosted at Walnut Creek Park. The event generated $6,000 for a grand total of $44,910 donated to a charity over the last 10-years.Our Community Services committee worked with Texas Ramp Project, Capital Area Food Bank, The Veterans Day Parade & Community First! A combination of all our volunteer opportunities resulted in 72 members volunteering 523 hours of their personal time to the benefit of others.Our Annual Holiday Luncheon was well attended. Our Holiday event is becoming well known as the fun event where the audience is the entertainment. Our Social Media presence continues to explode with a 20% increase from previous year. We post consistent information about upcoming events, articles of interest & members news. For consistent updates on AAFAME activities please be sure to like either our Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn pages found on our website.We published a printed a membership directory distributed to over 650 commercial real estate professionals and provided a real time online directory of members including vendor services. Introduced the new AAFAME on Air newsletter video to recap the contents of the newsletter and encourage folks to read more. We average 184 views on the videos for the newsletter. Our monthly newsletters include association news and articles of interest. Average read rate of 55% (industry average is 21%) with a mailing list of 1,110 emails.
