| FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION | OUR PURPOSE IS TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM. PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES, WE CREATE LIFE-LONG RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH THOUGHTFUL, INNOVATIVE, EMPIRICALLY BASED LEARNING TREATMENT PROGRAMS. HELPING THEM DISCOVER THE WORLD AND THE WORLD DISCOVER THEM. |
| FORM 990 | FIREFLY AUTISM LAUNCHED IT'S VERY FIRST CAPITAL CAMPAIGN ON APRIL 14TH OF 2019 ON THE NIGHT OF OUR ANNUAL GALA CALLED "LAUGH YOURSELF BLUE- AND OUT OF THE GATE WE RAISED 1 MILLION DOLLARS. WE HAVE RAISED CLOSE TO 4MILLION FOR OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN AND HAVE PURCHASED A SCHOOL FROM THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ON JULY 1ST AND IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO RENOVATE THE BUILDING WITH SIGNIFICANT CHANGES. CURRENTLY THE 30,000 SQ./FT BUILDING IS SLATED TO BE COMPLETED BY END OF MAY 2020 AND MOVE IN DATE JUNE OF 2020. OVER THE PAST YEAR FIREFLY HAS MADE INCREDIBLE STRIDES WITH INTERNAL OPERATIONS AND WITH ALL ASPECTS OF FINANCIAL HEALTH. OUR AUDIT SHOWS A SMALL OPERATING LOSS OF 14K FOR THE REPORTING YEAR HOWEVER THAT INCLUDES THE FINAL WRITE-OFF OVER 126K TO CLEAN UP PREVIOUS YEAR'S FINANCES. THE PRIOR FISCAL YEAR OF 2018-2019 OUR LOSS WAS OVER 350K WITH A WRITE-OFF OF OVER 580K. AS YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE. SINCE THEN PROCESSES HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE, WE HAVE OUTSOURCED BOTH OUR BILLING DEPARTMENT AND FINANCE DEPARTMENT. IN A SPAN OF LESS THAN A YEAR OUR INSURANCE COLLECTIBLES HAVE GONE FROM .70 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR TO NOW .91 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR. BY END OF FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 WE SHOULD BE AT .98 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR. THAT IS A SIGNIFICANT CAPTURE RATE WHICH IN TURN HAS INCREASED OUR BOTTOM LINE. FIREFLY IS POISED TO MOVE INTO ITS NEW HOME IN JUNE OF 2020 AND WILL BE INCREASING NUMBERS OF CHILDREN SERVED, ADDING ON SERVICES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING A DIAGNOSTIC CENTER.
