	Public Policy and Government Affairs - Identify issues of concern and work with elected officials to promote policies and programs to stimulate the area's economic growth and create job opportunities. Our top priorities this year were Gordy Howe International Bridge, Skilled Trade Training Fund, Auto Insurance Reform, and Parole of Medically Frail Prisoners. We also partnered on an affordable housing study.

	Member Services - Strengthen the Chamber's membership and improve services to members with special emphasis on member recruitment, retention and activation through continued communication with members. Discount programs for members included office supplies, workers comp insurance, payroll services and gas discounts. Publication of the monthly chamber newspaper and our e-news highlight members and offer advertising opportunities. We welcomed 381 new members to the chamber and retained 88% of our current membership.

	Programs and Events - Provide opportunities for business networking through a variety of member events. The Chamber held over 100 events with over 8,500 attendees and helped companies with 435 business assists. Our new CEO Summit connected over 600 C Suite Executives and earned over 100 media hits. Monthly networking events included Business Exchange Luncheon, EOS talks and Business Insights. All of these activities encourage our members to use other members and helps promote our mission to create a thriving and prosperous West Michigan for all.

Pt VI, Line 11b	The 990 is reviewed by the CFO. Once the CFO agrees with the return, it is reviewed by the Board President and accepted. A draft is sent electronically to the Board Members for review. All reviews take place prior to filing the 990.
Pt VI, Line 12c	All Directors and Officers sign a conflict of interest policy annually. This is reviewed by the Board President. The Board President has the power to remove any Board Member from voting on an issue where there could possibly be a conflict of interest. Generally, Board Members remove themselves from the voting process voluntarily.
Pt VI, Line 15a	The CEO is the only employee with a review process that involves independent persons. A Committee prepares a questionnaire that is sent to all Board Members by the CFO through Survey Monkey. A separate survey is sent to all current staff. This survey asks questions about the performance and goals accomplished. The findings are tabulated by Survey Monkey and presented to the Committee. The Committee then meets with the Board President to discuss the results and make a determination of compensation within the budget. The compensation amount is compared using ACCE Salary Surveys, Guidestar, and local CEO salaries. The process is documented and retained in the CEO's personnel file.
