    1 There are two components to The Minnie Perkins Foundation's charitable activities: Step Into the Future and Community Outreach. The first deals with personal effectiveness and leadership for teenagers with a focus on communication skills, conflict resolution, responsibility and the ability to say no and not be swayed by peer pressure. Community Outreach deals with personal effectiveness for adults with an emphasis on accountability skills and developing a vision for the future. The participants are parents of teenagers who have attended the Step into the Future component or other concerned adults who wish to enhance their skills in working with teens. The presentation of these components is the chief instrument used by the Foundation to further its purpose of developing communication and leadership skills in teens.The foundation also documents the above-described work on film to share the effectiveness of the training with a wider audience and enroll future programs. 7,000
