What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? PMI is the leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession. Our professional resources and research deliver value for more than 2.9 million professionals working in nearly every country in the world to enhance their careers, improve organizational success, and further mature the profession. Our worldwide advocacy for project management is reinforced by our globally recognized standards, certification program, extensive academic and market research programs, chapters, and our volunteer and professional development opportunities. PMI offers eight certifications that recognize knowledge and competency, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification held by more than 650,000 practitioners and growing worldwide. PMI offers PM training, and access to library and research on best practices in project management.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 In 2019, PMI provided certification and training to professionals as well as helped locate and identify candidates for project management positions. One of the larger projects was "Project Gratitude", which helped with the transitioning of local veterans into civilian positions.
