What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purposes of this club are to pursue the Object of Rotary, carry out successful service projects based on the Five Avenues of Service, contribute to the advancement of Rotary by strengthening membership, support The Rotary Foundation, and develop leaders beyond the club level.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Over 1000 people attended the 36th annual Rotary Health Fair which provided FREE screenings and health information. 150 flu shots were distributed for free. Many individual Community Service projects were completed which provided funding for a literacy program, community cleanup, Share the Spirit and Thanksgiving food programs, Hospice of Homer, Homer Hockey,a garden project, and domestic violence prevention (Haven House). Our Rotary Club supports the local food pantry where one of our members is the coordinator. We are also responsible for a Memorial Garden project. This Rotary year we also supported a new violin project called Opus-Preludes in a local elementary school. Back to School supplies were provided, and we also provided some funding to Sprout Family Services.

29 International Service projects provided increased understanding and goodwill throughout the world. We helped fund Polio Plus program, as well as KIVA, a dental clinic, and Ecogenesis in the Philippines. Additionally we support the Rotary Club of Kandy and the LaMission Rotary Club

Our Youth Exchange program provides high school students an opportunity to understand a different culture and way of life. The hope is that this will foster goodwill between countries. One student from Korea spent a partial year in Homer. Our Rotary Club hosted the District 5010 RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) meeting.
