THE ANNUAL COLLABORATIVE CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARTS IS THE LARGEST COLLABORATIVE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN IN SUPPORT OF ARTS AND CULTURE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. FIFTEEN OF THE REGION'S CORNERSTONE ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN RAISING UNRESTRICTED OPERATING SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS COMMUNITY. DONORS ALSO HAVE THE OPTION TO WRITE IN THE NAME OF ANY NONPROFIT ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION THEY WISH AND INCLUDE THEM IN THEIR CAMPAIGN GIFT. DONATIONS DESIGNATED TO ONE OR MORE OF THE 15 CAMPAIGN PARTNERS DURING THE COLLABORATIVE CAMPAIGN, WHICH RUNS FROM FEBRUARY 1 - APRIL 30 ANNUALLY, ARE MATCHED AT 15% BY UNITED ARTS. IN FY20, UNITED ARTS WAS PROVIDED WITH A 500K CHALLENGE GRANT BY ORANGE COUNTY TO RAISE 2.7 MILLION. UNITED ARTS FURTHER INCENTIVIZED THE CAMPAIGN WITH A 30% MATCH WHEN THE 15 CAMPAIGN PARTNERS REACHED SPECIFIED BENCHMARKS. THE CAMPAIGN EXCEEDED ITS GOAL, RAISING NEARLY 3.2 MILLION DOLLARS AND UNLOCKING THE ORANGE COUNTY CHALLENGE GRANT, INFUSING AN ADDITIONAL 500K INTO THE ARTS COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO GARNERS SUPPORT THROUGH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS FOR SERVICE. IN FY20, UNITED ARTS RAISED OVER 9.2 MILLION IN SUPPORT OF ARTS AND CULTURE FROM ALL SOURCES, INCLUDING 3.0 MILLION IN DESIGNATED GIFTS. OVER 3.1 MILLION IN FUNDING WAS RAISED DURING THE COLLABORATIVE CAMPAIGN AND AN ADDITIONAL 2.0 MILLION WAS RAISED THROUGH CONTRACTS FOR SERVICES, SPONSORSHIPS AND EVENTS, GRANTS, AND OTHER GIFTS AND IN-KIND DONATIONS. LINE 4B - SECOND ACCOMPLISHMENT CON'T 2) MINI GRANTS - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES MUCH NEEDED FUNDING FOR ORGANIZATIONS WITH BUDGETS OF UNDER 75,000 OR THAT DO NOT PROVIDE A FULL SEASON OF PROGRAMMING, SUCH AS FAIRS AND FESTIVALS THAT CELEBRATE AND HONOR THE REGION'S DIVERSITY. IN FY20, UNITED ARTS AWARDED 31,000 IN MINI GRANT FUNDING TO 19 NONPROFIT ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS. 3) DIVERSITY GRANTS - FUNDED THROUGH A GRANT FROM DUKE ENERGY, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES GRANTS FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMING THAT WILL APPEAL TO A WIDE RANGE OF AUDIENCES AND IS REFLECTIVE OF THE RACIALLY/ETHNICALLY DIVERSE COMMUNITIES WE LIVE IN. IN FY20, UNITED ARTS PROVIDED 31,500 IN FUNDING TO 7 ORGANIZATIONS. THIS GRANT ALSO PROVIDED UNDERWRITING FOR DIVERSE STUDENTS TO EXPLORE CAREERS IN ARTS ADMINISTRATION THROUGH PAID INTERNSHIPS AT AREA ARTS ORGANIZATIONS. 4) NEW IN FY20 AND UNDERWRITTEN THROUGH FUNDING FROM ORANGE COUNTY GOVERNMENT, VENUE SUBSIDY GRANTS SUPPORT THE RENTAL OF PERFORMANCE VENUES THROUGHOUT ORANGE COUNTY, INCREASING ACCESS TO CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENTS. DUE TO COVID-19, ONLY ONE ROUND OF GRANTS WAS AWARDED AND SEVERAL OF THE AWARDS WERE FORFEITED DUE TO EVENT CANCELLATIONS. TEN ORGANIZATIONS WERE ABLE TO UTILIZE AWARDS TOTALING 170,952. COMBINED WITH CONTRACT SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES, DESIGNATED GIVING AND MATCHING FUNDS, UNITED ARTS INVESTED OVER 7.1 MILLION INTO THE ARTS AND CULTURAL COMMUNITY IN FY20. LINE 4C - THIRD ACCOMPLISHMENT CON'T UNITED ARTS' ARTS EDUCATION INITIATIVES EXPOSE STUDENTS TO MUSIC, THEATER, DANCE, FILM, BALLET, AND MUSEUMS OF ART, HISTORY AND SCIENCE. IN FY20, 53 DIVERSE CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS - ALL OF THEM FUNDED BY UNITED ARTS - PROVIDED 1,032,446 CURRICULUM-BASED ARTS EDUCATION EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12. UNITED ARTS LARGEST EDUCATION CONTRACT IS WITH ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS (OCPS) TO PROVIDE CURRICULUM-BASED ARTS EDUCATION SERVICES FOR OCPS STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12 (CONTRACT AMOUNT - 549,000). IN FY20, THIS CONTRACT FACILITATED 86,879 K-12 CURRICULUM-BASED ARTS EDUCATION EXPERIENCES, INCLUDING 6,085 VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS BEING EDUCATED FROM HOME. UNITED ARTS ACTIVELY SEEKS GRANT OPPORTUNITIES TO INCREASE THE BREADTH OF ARTS EDUCATION EXPERIENCES EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE AND THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT ARE SERVED EACH YEAR.
