Return Reference Explanation
PART V, LINE 4: ELI'S ENDOWMENT CONSISTS OF FUNDS HELD BY CENTRAL INDIANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, AND INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR FUTURE OPERATIONS. THE ENDOWMENT INCLUDES BOTH DONOR-RESTRICTED ENDOWMENT FUNDS AND FUNDS DESIGNATED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO FUNCTION AS ENDOWMENT. AS REQUIRED BY ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES GENERALLY ACCEPTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, NET ASSETS ASSOCIATED WITH ENDOWMENT FUNDS, INCLUDING FUNDS DESIGNATED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO FUNCTION AS ENDOWMENT, ARE CLASSIFIED AND REPORTED BASED ON THE EXISTENCE OR ABSENCE OF DONOR-IMPOSED RESTRICTIONS.
PART X, LINE 2: ELI IS ORGANIZED AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE UNITED STATES INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AND SIMILAR STATE LAW. ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES GENERALLY ACCEPTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REQUIRE MANAGEMENT TO EVALUATE TAX POSITIONS TAKEN BY ELI AND RECOGNIZE A TAX LIABILITY IF ELI HAD TAKEN AN UNCERTAIN POSITION THAT MORE LIKELY THAN NOT WOULD NOT BE SUSTAINED UPON EXAMINATION BY VARIOUS FEDERAL AND STATE TAXING AUTHORITIES. MANAGEMENT HAS ANALYZED THE TAX POSITIONS TAKEN BY ELI, AND HAS CONCLUDED THAT AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2019 AND 2018, THERE ARE NO UNCERTAIN POSITIONS TAKEN OR EXPECTED TO BE TAKEN THAT WOULD REQUIRE RECOGNITION OF A LIABILITY OR DISCLOSURE IN THE ACCOMPANYING FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. ELI IS GENERALLY EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAXES. HOWEVER, ELI IS REQUIRED TO FILE FEDERAL FORM 990 - RETURN OF ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAX AND A CORRESPONDING STATE RETURN, WHICH ARE INFORMATIONAL RETURNS ONLY. ELI HAS FILED ITS FEDERAL AND STATE INFORMATION TAX RETURNS FOR PERIODS THROUGH DECEBMBER 31, 2018 AND IS SUBJECT TO ROUTINE AUDITS BY TAXING JURISDICTIONS. HOWEVER, AS OF THE DATE THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS WERE AVAILABLE TO BE ISSUED, THERE WERE NO AUDITS FOR ANY TAX PERIODS IN PROGRESS.
PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS: CHANGE IN VALUE OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN ASSETS HELD BY OTHERS 19,376.
