	Cops and Kids This is a nationwide program in which Lodge 15 participates on a local level, providing services to local needy children who are nominated by their schools, churches and community members, to provide the needy children through the Cops and Kids program, the opportunity to purchase with donated funds, Christmas gifts, clothing and school supplies. The program is designed to build relationships between the local FOP lodge and the local police departments with the immediate communities covered by the lodge and respective police departments. Members of the FOP lodge, police officers and other volunteers take underprivileged children shopping at a local store to show those children and their families that the police in their community are friends and are always there to help. Donations to the program from the local community and businesses are used solely to fund this annual event which takes place the first Saturday in December.

	COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. Program provides scholarships to children of police officers and other law enforcement personnel to students who are attending undergraduate studies at a university or college, preferably to those students who are in a law enforcement program of study. This is an annual program with scholarships being awarded each Spring for students attending school in the fall.

	DISTRESS FUND This fund was established to provide support and assistance for injured or deceased law enforcement officers and their families, and for those members of law enforcement or their family members who may have suffered some sort of devastating catastrophe and are in dire of immediate assistance.

Schedule I, Part I, Line 2

For College Scholarships, prospective recipients must make an application to Lodge 15 to show they are enrolled in an undergraduate program for the upcoming Fall semester. The scholarships checks are sent directly to the Office of the Registrar at the school. Recipients are selected by the Lodge 15 Scholarship Committee after a review of the applications. Distress Funds are issued to law enforcement officers or their families after approval by Lodge 15 Board of Directors. Cops and Kids recipients do not receive funds directly. A Cops and Kids day takes place in December whereby each recipient child is by a police officer or other volunteer to shop for clothing, Christmas gifts for the child or school supplies. Each child can spend up to $125.00 At the end of the event, Lodge 15 pays the store for the total of the merchandise purchased with funds which Lodge 15 had previously solicited from donations solely for the Cops and Kids Program. Other donations are made by Lodge 15 from general or fund raising accounts when requested by other organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, police departments, after approval by either the Lodge 15 general members or the Board of Directors.

It was again mailed as a hard copy on October 8, 2020 after a notification CP259A dated October 5, 2020 from the IRS that the 990 was not filed. The reason the 990 was not filed efile is the 990 instructions for filling out and filing the 990 were misinterpreted as the filing method was confused, believing that a hard copy was an acceptable of filing for the 990.
