| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d: Other Program Services Description | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: FOSTER CARE PROGRAM - Spero Family Serivices in conjunction with the Illinois Dept. of Children & Family Services provides a highly specialized, intensive foster care program for 15 youth who live in the Southern Region of Illinois. This program employs licensed foster parents who are proven in their field of expertise. These professional foster parents provide a consistent, nurturing and stable environment for children who are temporarily placed in foster care. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: SPERO COUNSELING & WELLNESS PROGRAM - PROVIDES OUTPATIENT COUNSELING, EVALUATIONS AND TRAINING TO INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND GROUPS OF ALL AGES ON A FEE FOR SERVICE BASIS. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: YOUTHBUILD PROGRAM - YouthBuild is a federal grant funded program through the Department of Labor that serves young adults in Jefferson & Marion Counties. This program engages unemployed young men and women BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16-24, most of whom have not completed high school and all of whom come from low-income families. YouthBuild enables them to serve their communities by building affordable housing, and assists them in transforming their own lives and roles in society. YouthBuild participants spend 6 to 18 months in the program, dividing their time between the construction site and GED classes. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: NUTURING PARENT - THIS PROGRAM IS A PREVENTATIVE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES IN-HOME COUNSELING TO AT-RISK FAMILIES WHO HAVE AT LEAST ONE YOUTH WITH SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL NEEDS. MOST TRAINING IS CONDUCTED IN GROUPS, HOWEVER, INDIVIDUAL TRAINING IS ALSO PROVIDED. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: MURPHYSBORO YOUTH HOMES PROGRAM - It is our belief that all youth are unique and require individualized treatment approaches. To promote healing, our program provides a compassionate environment with the support of caring people. Youth are cared for and supervised by a multi-disciplinary treatment team that includes Therapists, Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Nurse (certified in mental health), Case Managers, and other trained para-professional staff. A consulting Psychologist is also available.We serve 10 youth, females and males, at our Murphysboro campus. The ages of our youth range from 12 (must be in the 6th grade) to 18 years of age. Spero Family Services consistently strives for excellence as we seek to help youth and families grow through services provided in a nurturing environment of trust and open communication. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 10: BRIGHT START PROGRAM - IS A DAYCARE CENTER THAT IS LICENSED FOR 122 YOUTH AGES INFANT THROUGH 5. APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE FAMILIES ARE LOW INCOME AND THEIR FEES ARE SUBSIDIZED BY THE PROJECT CHILD GRANT. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 11: RAP IMMERSION SITE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES INTENSIVE COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES AND SUPPORT THROUGH TEAM FACILITATION AND SERVICE COORDINATION TO FAMILIES INVOLVED IN DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES INTACT OR REUNIFICATION SERVICES. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 12: INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM IS A DCFS PROGRAM THAT ASSISTS SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM YOUTH IN ACHIEVING INDEPENDENCE BY MOVING THE YOUTH INTO A COMMUNITY BASED APARTMENT AND OUT OF THE ON-CAMPUS HOUSING. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 13: MENTAL HEALTH JUVENILE JUSTICE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM HELPS TO PREVENT JUVENILES FROM GOING BACK IN THE THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS SYSTEM BY PROVIDING COUNSELING/MENTORING TO THE JUVENILES. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 14: SPECIALIZED FOSTER CARE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS SPERO TO PLACE A YOUTH IN LICENSED FOSTER HOMES WHICH PROVIDE A LOVING AND STRUCTURED HOME FOR THE YOUTH. THE LICENSED FOSTER PARENTS ARE PROVENT IN THEIR FIELD OF EXPERTISE. THESE PROFESSIONAL FOSTER PARENTS PROVIDE A CONSISTENT, NURTURING AND STABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THESE CHILDREN PLACED IN THEIR CARE. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 15: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 16: FLEX CAP - (Flex Funds Cash Assistance) This is a fiscal agent program for DCFS. DCFS or private agency caseworkers can access those funds to purchase services or goods that will aid in the reunification or permanency of the family they are serving. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 17: IN-HOME INTENSIVE - This is a county-based grant that provides in-home therapy to families in Marion County. This program provides counseling/stabilization services in the home of youth who qualify for Redeploy funds through the state. Spero has an agreement with Clinton County Probation to work with the youth and family using evidence-based practices. The purpose of the program is to work with families to address parenting and trauma issues that will hopefully keep the youth out of the juvenile justice system. |
