GARDENS WERE VISITED BY CLASSES FROM COLLEGE OF THE ATLANTIC AND NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE INTERESTED IN LANDSCAPE HISTORY. THE CENTER CONTINUED TO CULTIVATE CLOSER TIES WITH COLLEGE OF THE ATLANTIC. GARDENS WERE EXPANDED TO FULFILL CENTER OBJECTIVES OF CREATING A NATURALISTIC LANDSCAPE, DERIVED FROM EXISTING FLORA, BOULDERS AND TREES. COMMUNITY MEMBERS CONTINUED TO USE AND ENJOY THE SOMES POND LANDING FOR BOATING AND SWIMMING PURPOSES. DURING THIS YEAR WE SPENT A LARGE AMOUNT OF OUR TIME ENVISIONING THE NEXT PHASE OF THE SOMES POND CENTER.
