Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The members of the Preserve and their guests are able to engage in English-style pheasant releases, stocking of pheasant, quail and partridges for walkup hunting, hunting for waterfowl, quail, turkey and deer, trout stocking and trout fishing. The Preserve has an 18-station sporting clays course on which it holds organized competitions and on which sportsmen and sportswomen practice their skills. New Jersey State Hunter Safety certification courses are among the safety briefings held at the Preserve.The Preserve has annual habitat plantings to be good stewards of the land and to provide cover for game and hunting activity.The Preserve also has formal and informal social gatherings for members and guests.

Flint Hill Preserve, Inc., had 76 members in its sixth year of operation. It conducted 12 pheasant releases, numerous weekly in-season guided walkup hunts, 3 deer camps and 2 sporting clays competitions, private lessons for members and additional informal outings on the clay course. Each organized hunt and clays shoot begins with a safety briefing. Additionally, New Jersey Hunter Safety Certification classes for firearm and archery hunting were taught at the Preserve. The Preserve also restored 2 miles of the Lamington River. A training kennel was added to accomodate 20 dogs of members. The Preserve made habitat plantings including approximately 30 acres of grain sorghum, 5 deer food plots, and planted additional apple trees. Approximately, 10,200 gamebirds were stocked on the Preserve. Over two miles of stream were stocked with trout by the Preserve following the above noted restoration.Numerous all club and member-hosted social gatherings took place at the Preserve.

All of these land owning entities are owned or substantially controlled by James L. Johnson.Staffing for the preserve is supplied through a Management Agreement with CLF-Stable, LLC, which is owned by James L. Johnson. CLF-Stable, LLC, additionally raises and sells pheasants and other gamebirds to Flint Hill Preserve. Black River Roasters, owned by Christopher Merton, sells boutique coffee to the Preserve.
