Leadership Training: VIP Education Fund held leadership retreats and Leader Training Meetings both in person, and during the pandemic virtually, for approximately 800 leaders during 2019 and 2020. New and experienced leaders learned the skills of institutional organizing and developed strategies for working on key issues in their regions. In the early weeks of the pandemic leaders learned how to conduct extensive outreach into their institutions to check on the health and well-being of their members. They were trained to use virtual tools to conduct small-group house meetings to learn about the pressures on families and individuals, as economic conditions forced many families into crisis. |
