What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To support Respiratory Therapists and Respiratory Care students through providing education, networking, professional development by hosting conferences, panel discussion, website articles, workshops, round-table discussions and hands-on in-services. Provides professional development support and opportunities to earn required credentialing educational units. Also promotes awareness and professionalism in South Carolina for Respiratory Therapists, sleep technologists, respiratory care students and high school allied health students.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 No other revenue received. All revenue received was from contributions from SCSRC members for services and support relating to the organization's charter. Due to COVID, most educational events and programs were cancelled.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 Scholarships and grants given to applicants currently in a Respiratory Care program (associates and bachelors programs) to attend state or national events or to offset educational expenses. The scholarship recognizes outstanding respiratory care students for both grades and submission of presentations for a pulmonary related topic. Student have to apply and compete for scholarships. $1700.00 was awarded this year. Licenced and credential respiratory practitioners recognized for outstanding services after being nominated and selected. $921.30 spent on awards and expensesd related to this recognition. $500 donated to the ARCF diaster relief fund.
