| Form 990, Part VI, Line 4 Significant changes to organizational documents | The bylaws for the Fraternity were amended as of January 20, 2020 to change redefine the classes of membership. Previously, the Fraternity's bylaws defined four (4) classes of membership: a "New Member" is one who has accepted a bid and is being educated to become an Active Member. A "Junior Active Member" is a recently initiated member who has not witnessed another initiation. An "Active Member" is named following the aforementioned initiation. A "Probationary Member" is one who has not fulfilled the requirements for active status. The bylaws of the Fraternity, as amended, now define three (3) classes of membership: "New Member - A New Member is a member who has accepted a bid and is being educated to become an Active Member; Active Member - After initiation, a New Member becomes an Active Member; Probationary Member - A Probationary Member is an Active Member who has not fulfilled the requirements for being a member in good standing. |
