Explanation:

The organization is entirely run by volunteers. Due to COVID restrictions our availability to meet and contribute the time necessary to book keeping and tax filing has been severely restricted. In the confusion, We overlooked filing the request for automatic extension. Additionally, we found our bank (Chase) changed its transaction export file format such that it is no longer compatible with our accounting software (Quickbooks 2017). As a result we had to adopt new accounting software (GnuCash) and transfer records which added an extra burden this year. We respectfully request waiving of penalties for late filing.
