What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The VFW is a veterans organization that helps veterans by donating funds to individuals and organizations, and promotes patriotic causes such as youth essay contests.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Due to COVID, our Post was unable to do any fundraising, so other than some donations, all expenses were taken out of our savings account. We were able to donate to many veterans organizations and give money to many students who participated in our Youth Essay contests. We have an Honor Guard that participates in funerals at our National Cemetery and other private cemeteries. We have many volunteers in our organization that volunteer with helping disabled veterans at the VA Hospital.
