| Form 990, Part III, Line 3 | The COVID-19 pandemic severely curtailed normal operations during 2020. Following state guidance regarding gatherings, revenue generating activities ceased in the second quarter and remained so for the remainder of the year. These ceased activities included facility rentals (including return of deposits), community bingo, a bridge club tournament, and the fiddlers' use of the facility. Also lost to the organization was a major fundraiser held in the City Park. Somewhat but not fully offsetting the revenue loss were reductions in expenses associated with various events. To get through the year, the organization curtailed major capital improvements and drew from reserves. Nonetheless, the organization continued to support the community by providing space for a Red Cross blood drive and an office and staging area to Head Start. Volunteers were available to help where needed. |
