	The Local Union continues in an ongoing effort to defend and enforce the negotiated collective bargaining agreement for our members' wages, benefits and working conditions. Explanation:

I overnighted our 990 for the year 2020 on May 6, 2021, not knowing that it had to be electronically filed. I received a bill from the IRS in June and tried calling, to no avail, so I resent the 990. I received another bill and again tried calling with no avail, so I resent it again for the third time along with the proof of delivery. I thought that was the end of it since I never heard anything more. The same thing happened in 2020 with our 2019 990. I received a bill stating our 2019 990 was never filed, but once I sent in the proof of delivery I never heard anymore, so I thought this was the same situation. I didn't realize that it had to be electronically filed until I received my 2020 990 back from the IRS with a letter stating that it had to be electronically filed. Again, I have attempted to contact the IRS but the only response I get is the recording saying everyone is busy so try again later or the next business day and then they hang up on me. The letter states that I have 10 days from the date of the letter to reply. My letter is dated November 1st, the postmark on the envelope is November 23rd, and I received it November 29th. I've been submitting the 990 for at least 20 years and it has never been late.
