	In 2020 Meadowview Volunteer Fire Department responded to a total of 231 Emergency calls. 66 of those calls were to fire alams, most of which turned out to be not real emergencies, 46 calls were to some type of structural fires, 22 were for outdoor fires such as brush, grass or forest, 60 calls were to sites of motor vehicle accidents. None involved hazardous materials. 10 calls were to assist local life saving crews on medical emergencies. There were 27 other calls which did not fit into the categories above. These may have included downed trees, power lines and other types of storm damage or flooding.

Explanation:

When I began I simply downloaded the forms as I have for several years. There seemed to be no changes so I proceeded without checking instructions. Only when I was finished and was checking for the address to mail the paper forms did I see the message about electronic filing. I had never done that before and feared starting over would cause the filing to be late, so I sent the paper version, with an explanation, in May. At that time our treasurer was bedridden and I was trying to fill her duties along with my own. I hoped that would be considered a sufficient hardship. The paper form was just returned to me in an envelope postmarked 12/07/2021 and I received it on the evening of 12/13/2021. I have tried to complete this electronic filing as quickly as possible.
