What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE UTAH WORKSITE WELLNESS COUNCIL IS A PARTNERSHIP OF ORGANIZATIONS WITH THE SINGULAR PURPOSE OF LEARNING HOW TO BUILD EFFECTIVE WORKSITE WELLNESS PROGRAMS AND METHODS THAT LEAD TO SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE CHANGE FOR EMPLOYEES. UWWC IS ORGANIZED AND ESTABLISHED WITH A NUMBER OF EXPRES PURPOSES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: WORK COOPERATIVELY WITH BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ENCOURGE AND ASSIST THEM IN PROVIDING MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMS TO EMPLOYEES. DISSEMINATE SCIENTIFIC FACTS AND PRINCIPLES IN A FORM WHICH THE PUBLIC EASILY UNDERSTANDS AND WHICH ENABLES BUSINESS MANAGERS TO DEVELOP WORKSITE COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMS PROMOTING DESIRABLE HEALTH ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS. 28 In 2020 we did 1 Wellness Onsite Workshop (WOW event). The event was held at a Utah worksite, Merit Medical. The wellness team at Merit did a presentation and talked about their program along with a panel interview. The attendees also had some networking time and were able to tour the facility to see what things Merit Medical does to create an environment that supports wellness.
