Support the VFW National Home for Children. Sponsor local little league and school sports teams. Provide support for local law enforcement and firefighter organizations. Provide cash prizes to local students who win the Voice of Democracy (speech) and the Patriot Pen (essay) program. Assist in sponsoring local community events (Memorial Day Program, Flag Day Retirement Program, Independence Day Program, Veterans Day Program, and 101st Airborne Division's Week of the Eagle). No individual or group receives over $500.
