What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Festival brings the community together and pulls in visitors to increase tourism in our area. Money generated is distributed back into the community through school, beautification, and infrastructure improvements.

Our tax preparer retired in April. As Covid was raging, we elected to skip our usual in-person meeting to discuss the festival taxes, and that missed meeting led us to a mistaken belief that an extension had been filed. That miscommunication mistake meant we were unaware that we would be late and had not filed an extension.
