As per By-Laws of the Utah Cutting Horse Association, Aricle I, Section 3. The pupose of The Utah Cutting Horse Association is to encourage the development of, and public interest in livestock and ranching through the promotion and sponsorship of cutting horse events & contest. The association also sets sandards for; judging and spokespersons, and supports the development of breeding techniques for cutter horses. The associations main exempt purpose acheivement is organizing cutter horse competion events for school age participants.

Members or stockholder classes and rights Part VI line 6 As per the By-Laws of the Association, Article II Members, Sections 1 through 7, provide for the qualification of members along with the rights of memebership including notification of meetings and matters, attendance at meetings and entitlement to vote on said matters.There is no mention in the By-Laws of more than one class of memebership, therefore all memebers are subject to Aricles II Members.
Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a As per the By-Laws of the Utah Cutter Horse Association, Article II Members, Section 7. Proxies: Each member of the corporation in good standing shall be entitled to one vote upon each matter submitted to a vote at any meeting of the members. Such vote may be cast by the member either in person or by proxy executed in writing by the member. Editorial note: reference to a corporation in the Section 7, noted above, may not be correct. The organization is referred to as an association in several other sections of the By-Laws and Section 5. states; There shall be no capital stock of the Association., which would preclude reference to the association as a corporation.
Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The Secretary receives a copy of the Form 990 from the preparer along with questions and comments pertaining to the Form 990. Upon receipt of a reply from the Secretary the information is used to complete the return. Follow up issues are discussed in detail to resolve any pending issues. The Secretary issues a notice to the directors that a copy of the completed Form 990 is on file and is available upon request. Upon receipt of the authorization to e-file Form 8879-EO signed by the Secretary, the preparer e-files the return and issues a document acknowledging that the return has been accepted by the IRS, thus completing the notification and return filing process.
