What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To provide coached/referred team play in soccer for over 500 players each season (ages 5 - 16 years (with Spring and Fall seasons. Over 90 adult volunteers participate as coaches and provide other league support.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Because of COVID, the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 seasons were not held. The organization maintained contact with players on status of when play could begin again, following Federal and Virginia state guidelines. When play was cleared for the Fall of 2021 (nest fiscal year), signups were begun and all preparations for the season were begun in the Summer of 2021. OVer 500 players are participating this season.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 Line 8 - Income is from a sports season fee charged for each player. This fee covers all expenses for the sport.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Line 16 - Other expenses include a team jersey and socks for each soccer player. Team equipment is provided for each team, each player receives a team photo and trophy, and player insurance is required by the City of Hampton, VA. Expenses to operate Phillips Athletic Association are covered. Because of Spring season cancelled by COVID in the previous fiscal year, refund checks were a primary expense for this tax year.Some players chose to leave their player fee with PAA until the first season following COVID. Spring 2021 was our first season following COVID.
