What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE AN ORGANIZATION FOR CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS OF HOME PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN NORTHWEST IOWA TO COLLABORATE WITHOUT PROFIT WITH ALL FIELDS RELATED TO THE BUILDING INDUSTRY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE. THE HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION PROMOTES THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OF ALL CONTRACTORS IN THE INDUSTRY AMONGST THEMSELVES AND TO CONSUMERS.

28 HOME SHOW - THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS A BOOTH AT HOME SHOWS HELD EACH YEAR IN COMMUNITIES IN NORTHWEST IOWA. THESE SHOWS ARE USUALLY HELD IN SHOPPING MALLS OR COMMUNITY BUILDINGS AND MANY CONTRACTORS, VENDORS, RETAILERS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE REPRESENTED. MANY CONSUMERS VISIT THE HOME SHOW AS IT PROMOTES THE SALE OF ALL TYPES OF HOME PRODUCTS. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE ASSOCIATION TO ENHANCE THE CLIMATE FOR HOUSING AND THE BUILDING INDUSTRY AS WELL AS MEET CONSUMERS IN THE AREA WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BUILDING HOMES AND/OR PURCHASING HOME PRODUCTS. THE ASSOCIATION COLLABORATES TO BENEFIT ALL AREAS OF THE BUILDING INDUSTRY.PARADE OF HOMES - THE PARADE OF HOMES IS AN EVENT SPONSORED IN PART BY THE HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION. SEVERAL NEW HOMES, RECENTLY BUILT, BY THE AREA'S CONTRACTORS ARE PUT ON DISPLAY IN A PARADE OF HOMES. THE GENERAL PUBLIC PURCHASES A TICKET IN ORDER TO VIEW EACH HOME IN THE PARADE. THIS PROGRAM IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR AREA CONTRACTORS TO DISPLAY THEIR PRODUCT TO PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS AND THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL. APPROXIMATELY 5,000 PEOPLE ATTEND THE PARADE OF HOMES.
