28 MEMBERSHIP IN DCPEA INCLUDES MEMBESHIP IN THE NEVADA STATE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION. DELEGATES ATTEND REGIONAL EDUCATION CONVENTIONS. DCPEA REPRESENTATIVES SERVE ON THE NSEA AND REGIONAL UCN BOARDS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL ISSUES SPECIFIC TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE UNIT. DCPEA PRODUCES A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR THE MEMBERSHIP WITH INFORMATION ABOUT CONTRACT, EDUCATION ISSUES, NEGOTITATIONS, AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. PROGRAMS PRESENTED FOR MEMBERSHIP INCLUDED IMPACT OF STATE BUDGET CUTS, RETIREMENT, PERS ADVOCACY AND THE UPCOMING NEGOTIATION CYCLE.
