A paper copy of the 2020 Form #990 was mailed to the IRS on 5/14/2021. The organization wasn't aware that they were required to file electronically until a notice was received on 12/13/21. The notice was postmarked 12/9/21 but the date at the top shows 11/10/21. This notice that we received on 12/13/21 stated the electronic filing requirement. We researched how to get this accomplished and filed the return electronically within 3 days of receiving it.
