The Executive Director's compensation is determined by the ACLU Foundation's Board of Directors. The Personnel Committee makes a compensation recommendation to the Board based on an annual salary survey of 53 ACLU organizations plus a survey of Executive Director salaries of similar organizations in similar locations. The Board then discusses the recommended compensation, deliberates and votes on approval. |
