What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Until we founded our union, campaign workers routinely worked more than twice the standard workweek for less than minimum wage and no healthcare benefits. We sacrificed our health, financial security, and leisure time to support candidates and movements that we hoped will make our society more prosperous, equitable, and inclusive, but our employers do not always live up to the values they often publicly espouse. We stood together and founded the Campaign Workers Guild in order to protect and strengthen the rights of campaign workers.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 General Programs - The Campaign Workers Guild organizes workers on campaigns, political nonprofit organizations, and political firms. We support workers during the organizing stage, bargain contracts, and represent workers. This program includes our legal fees, bank fees, and subscriptions to run our union.

Form 990-EZ, Part V, Line 34 In our Bylaws; Membership and Dues Section 2, part 3 Solidarity Members, we took out a bullet point that said: Solidarity Members may nominate and be nominated for the Executive Council to serve as non-voting members in accordance with Section VII(b). And we took out any mention of Solidarity members serving on the EC. We also added Quarterly Membership meetings to Section 5: Meetings: Quarterly Membership Meetings. General membership meetings will take place on a quarterly basis. Meetings are open to all dues-paying Associate and Working Members of the Campaign Workers Guild. A quorum for a Membership Meeting shall consist of at least ten percent (10%) of membership, or fifty (50) members, whichever is lower. Last, we changed Secretary and Treasurer from being appointed to being elected.
