THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY AWARDED A GRANT TO THE COUNTY FOR REPLACEMENT OF EMERGENCY RADIOS (HAND HELD AND VEHICLE) AND PAGERS- EQUIPMENT THAT WILL SOON BE OBSOLETE DUE TO NATIONAL TEHNOLOGICAL UPGRADES. EACH AGENCY PAID 10% OF THE COST OF THE RADIOS AND PAGERS FOR THEIR DEPARTMENT WITH THE GRANT PROVIDING THE REMAINDER OF THE COST TO THE VENDORS.
