Education/Ag in the Classroom The organization employs an Ag in the Classroom Coordinator. This year the coordinator was able to reach many students in person at schools where strong relationships have been built. A scholarship committee was formed and provided scholarships to local students planning to attend college. COVID prohibited many of the organizations events where they traditionally provide educational lessons at local events including an Ag Fair, STEM fair, the Drivers Education Program and Farm Safety Day Camp. |

Public Relations/Ag Promotion COVID-19 prohibited the county Farm Bureau from hosting many of their events. Traditionally the organization participates in and sponsors many events for the benefit of members and the larger community. They supported local food pantries even though their annual grocery cart races needed to be cancelled. The organization actively used local media and social media to promote agriculture. |

Policy Development The organization is engaged in policy development at the local and state levels. An opinionnaire is sent to members to gather input on local, state, and national issues. Results are reviewed and used develop county resolutions which are used to help influence policy. The board is very active in hosting and attending local legislative meetings, attending annual meetings and days at the State Capitol, and attending regional policy development meetings. |
