Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite is a fraternal entity. Each person who is initiated and continues to pay dues is an active member of the organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Each active member is authorized to vote and elects the officers at the yearly meeting. Each active member attending the annual meeting also votes on all actions acted upon by the executive committee during the year.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Chairman - the Personal Representative has additional authority. This Chairman has overall approval authority of all decisions of the executive board. The Chairman is appointed by the State Organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Form 990 is reviewed by the Treasurer, General Secretary, and Personal Representative (Chairman) of the organization prior to filing. The Form 990 is available for review at the meeting of the Executive Board the month of filing, and is available for review by any member requesting it during regular office hours.
