Explanation:

This tax return is late for several reasons, including the Covid-19 pandemic, Hurricane Zeta as well as a former employee absconding with the associations financial records at year end. casuing the association to rebuild its FY 2019-2020 financial records from scratch. THe Covid-19 pandemic caused severe interruptions in the Associations business operations including lockdown forced closures of the administrative building. Additionally the employee charged with keepingt he financial records terminated employment, taking all of the financial books and records including blank check stocks, essentually holding it to ransom for severance benefits. This forced the Association to rebuild the entire fiscal yeat during which time Hurricane Zeta struck, again causing seveerla disruptions to the operations of the Association, including the tax preparer, who lost utilities including internet connectivity for three weeks. Additionally the Association delayed filing due to its engagement of an audit firm to conduct an audit of its rebuilt financial records. This audit was not completed until the third week of April 2021. The Association respectfully requests, in light of the pandemic, employee issues which have been referred to law enforcement and the civil court system and a declared natural disaster in Hurricane Zeta that IRS waive all late filing penalties for this return.
