Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line 1 To create a vibrant future for agriculture, farm families their communities.
Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line 28 Education and AITC MCFB communicated with teachers, educators and schools promoting resources and grant opportunities to incorporate agriculture into the classroom. They provided 1800 in scholarships to college age students who reside in the county. They have a strong Ag In the Classroom program where the coordinator works with local schools promoting agriculture education to elementary school students at the local school.
Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line 29 Policy Development MCFB asked members to surface and prioritize issues that are important to local ag operations. They then created an opinionnaire to be distributed to the membership to gauge the importance of local, state, and national issues. They developed county resolutions of importance to be delivered by the voting delegate to the state delegate body. Member leaders also engaged with local, state, and national elected officials to lobby for the policies important to the ag community.
Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line 30 County Promotions MCFB is active in the promotion of Agriculture to the members and the local community. They purchased radio advertising at two local radio stations to promote agriculture to all people of the area. They sponsor and organize a Round Robin Showmanship competition at the county fair. MCFB sponsors the Women Gaining Ground Conference. They also presented volleyballs to the local qualifying team and spoke about the importance of agriculture at a community pep rally.
