Public Policy 11 members attended the Membership Forum in person or virtually to discuss policy issues in Lee County. Lee County Farm Bureau held meetings with County Supervisors and County Engineer on issues such as property taxes, roads, and rural safety. We hosted meetings with Elected State and National officials to discuss key policy issues affecting agriculture and rural Iowa. Participated in Legislative Forums with State Elected officials to discuss issues such as agriculture and their communities. 289 members responded to the Member Input through annual survey to direct BOD on policy statements on issues affecting agriculture and rural communities. |

Education/Ag in the Classroom Lee County Farm Bureau sponsored Young Farmer Members to attend Iowa Farm Bureau Young Farmer Conference. The County Co Sponsored Southeast Iowa Farm Show with over 50 vendors. 30 Lee County members attended the Sponsorship of Collegiate Farm Bureau Program at Southeastern Community College where college age ag students participate in leadership development, educational programs on conservation and markets. Over 500 students participated in classroom visits for elementary students. We have a scholarship program where one student member is awarded a County Scholarship. |

Public Relations Lee County promoted and supported the County Fair to educate the non farmer on modern agriculture and the important role farmers play in their community. We hosted a Farmers Market Educational Booth to promote water quality efforts by Lee County Farmers and a Farm/City event to showcase the importance of agriculture to the Lee County Economy. |
