What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? A PATRIOTIC VETERANS ORGANIZATION DEVOTED TO MUTUAL HELPFULNESS, COMMITTED TO MENTORING & SPONSORSHIP OF YOUTH PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY, ADVOCATING PATRIOTISM & HONOR, PROMOTING A STRONG NATIONAL SECURITY, & CONTINUED DEVOTION TO FELLOW SERVICE MEMBERS & VETERANS. DONATIONS ARE GIVEN TO FELLOW VETERANS & THEIR FAMILIES IN TIMES OF GRIEF, AS WELL AS, TO VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO ENSURE THE FUTURE SUCCESS OF OUR YOUTH. IN ADDITION, POST 136 OF THE AMERICAN LEGION MAINTAINS A CANTEEN FOR THE SOCIAL ENJOYMENT AND RECREATION OF ITS MEMBERS.

28 AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS OF POST 136 ARE MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS RIDING TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THEY SUPPORT VETERANS BY VISITING VA HOSPITALS, PROVIDING WELCOME HOMES AND SEND OFFS FOR THEIR MILITARY MEMBERS WHO RETURN OR WHO DEPLOY TO HOSTILE AREAS, PARTICIPATING IN PARADES, SUPPORTING CHARITIES THAT ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO VETERANS OR VETERANS PROGRAMS. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2020, THE AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS OF POST 136 HAD 34 MEMBERS. TOTAL REVENUES FOR THE RIDERS ($5,987) HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN CONTRIBUTIONS, MEMBER DUES AND FUNDRAISING.

THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MEMBERSHIP DUES RECEIVED INCLUDE THE DUES RECEIVED FROM THE AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS AND SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION. THE DUES AND ASSESSMENTS PAID OUT TO THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION INCLUDE THE DUES PAID ON BEHALF OF THE RIDERS AND SONS.

THEIR EMPHASIS IS ON PRESERVING AMERICAN TRADITIONS AND VALUES, IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OUR NATION'S CHILDREN, CARING FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND TEACHING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CITIZENSHIP. THEY SUPPORT THE CITIZENS FLAG ALLIANCE, A COALITION DEDICATED TO PROTECTING THE U.S. FLAG FROM DESECRATION. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2020, THE SONS OF AMERICAN LEGION OF POST 136 HAD 90 MEMBERS. THE REVENUE OF $6,528 WAS INCLUDED IN MEMBERSHIP DUES AND FUNDRAISING AND DONATIONS.
