TO PROMOTE AND CONSERVE THE HIGH STANDARD OF PRACTICE OF SPORTS JOURNALISM IN THE TRI-STATE AREA AROUND PHILADELPHIA (THE "PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT"): TO SPONSOR AND DIRECT FUNCTIONS IN THE INTEREST OF FURTHERING SPORTS: TO AID IN THE COLLEGE EDUCATION OF WORTHY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN: TO AID OTHER WORTHY CHARITIES: AND TO PLACE AND MAINTAIN SPORTS ON A HIGH STANDARD IN THE PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT AND IN THE NATION.
