| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4A | CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM: THE CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM OFFERS A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO STRENGTHENING FAMILIES BY HELPING IN MULTIPLE WAYS, ALL AT NO COST TO OUR CLIENTS: ONE-ON-ONE COACHING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR MALE AND FEMALE CLIENTS HELP BUILD STRONG FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS. COACHES HELP CLIENTS NAVIGATE THEIR UNIQUE CHALLENGING CIRCUMSTANCES BY OFFERING EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND REFERRALS TO IN-HOUSE OR COMMUNITY RESOURCES SPECIFIC TO THE CLIENTS' NEEDS. GROUP CLASSES ON A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS ARE OFFERED TO CLIENTS AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. ALL CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS SUCH AS REGISTERED NURSES (RNS), ATTORNEYS AND LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS (LPCS). WE CURRENTLY OFFER 90 CLASSES, IN PERSON AND ONLINE, THAT COVER TOPICS SUCH AS: PREGNANCY, NUTRITION, LABOR AND BIRTH, INFANT CARE, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, BUDGETING, ANGER AND STRESS MANAGEMENT, AND GOAL SETTING AS WELL AS OTHER PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LIFE SKILLS. THE GOAL OF THIS EDUCATION IS TO EQUIP EACH PERSON WITH THE INFORMATION AND SKILLS NEEDED TO OVERCOME PERSONAL AND RELATIONAL BARRIERS TO BECOMING A BALANCED PERSON AND POSITIVE PARENT. OUR CHOICES PROGRAM, WHICH IS OFFERED TO MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA, EDUCATES ABOUT AND ENCOURAGES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP DECISIONS AND SEXUAL INTEGRITY. WE MEASURE SUCCESS THROUGH THE SATISFACTION OF OUR CLIENTS AS THEY GO THROUGH OUR PROGRAM. IN 2020, ON ONE-ON-ONE CLIENT SATISFACTION SURVEYS, 99% REPORTED THEY WOULD RECOMMEND PCC'S SERVICES AND 98% FELT THEY WERE GIVEN THE HELP THEY NEEDED. ON POST-CLASS SURVEYS, 93% OF ALL ATTENDEES SAID THEY COULD APPLY THE INFORMATION GAINED TO THEIR REAL LIVES AND THAT THE CLASSES HELPED THEM IMPROVE THEIR LIFE SKILLS. OF THE CLIENTS SERVED, 79% REPORTED HAVING NO HEALTH CARE COVERAGE, INCLUDING MEDICAID, AND 39% REPORT EARNING LESS THAN $14,000 ANNUALLY. THROUGH THE CHOICES PROGRAM, MORE THAN 345 AREA STUDENTS WERE TAUGHT ABOUT HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND SEXUAL INTEGRITY. THE ONE-ON-ONE COACHING PROGRAM IS ENHANCED BY OUR CONTRACT WITH ALLIANCE FOR LIFE. THEIR CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF MISSOURI THROUGH THE ALTERNATIVES TO ABORTION PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED US TO PROVIDE $46,915 IN DIRECT ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE CLIENTS TO HELP THEM OVERCOME SPECIFIC BARRIERS IN THEIR PREGNANCY DECISIONS. WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED AN INFANT SAFETY CARE PROGRAM TO ADDRESS RISK FACTORS FOR INFANT DEATH, INCLUDING SLEEP AND TRANSPORTATION SAFETY. OUR CLIENTS CAN EARN THEIR CHOICE OF A BRAND-NEW CAR SEAT OR PORTABLE CRIB BY COMPLETING FIVE IN-PERSON COACHING SESSIONS AND FIVE CORE CLASSES. THESE PARENTS ALSO RECEIVE SAFE SLEEP AND TRAVEL EDUCATION AS WELL AS HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION ON PROPER USE OF CAR SEATS AND PORTABLE CRIBS. THIS PROGRAM WAS IMPLEMENTED IN MAY AND AS OF THE END OF THE YEAR 19 CLIENTS EARNED INFANT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. DUE TO COVID-19, WE LAUNCHED VIRTUAL ONE-ON-ONE COACHING SESSIONS AND GROUP CLASSES. THIS ALLOWED OUR CLIENTS TO CONTINUE SERVICES WHILE COMPLYING WITH OCCUPANCY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS. IN ADDITION, WE WERE ABLE TO INCREASE OUR CLASS TOPIC OFFERINGS BY ADDING OVER 70 ON-DEMAND CLASSES THROUGH OUR 417FAMILIES WEBSITE. IN ADDITION, WE STARTED BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS TO ALLOW FOR BETTER FLOW, IMPROVED PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND EVEN MORE CLIENT PRIVACY. GOALS FOR THE CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM INCLUDE EXPANDING THE REACH OF OUR FATHERHOOD PROGRAM BY ADDING MORE MALE COACHES AND INCREASING THE FREQUENCY OF FATHERHOOD-SPECIFIC GROUP CLASSES. ANOTHER GOAL IS TO BROADEN THE CLIENT DEMOGRAPHIC WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE EDUCATION PROGRAM. OUR CLASSES OFFER USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ANYONE DESIRING TO BE A BETTER PERSON OR PARENT, NOT JUST THOSE IN CRISIS SITUATIONS. WE ARE DEVELOPING MARKETING STRATEGIES TO REACH THIS NEW DEMOGRAPHIC. |
| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4B | MEDICAL SERVICES PROGRAM: WITH COVID-19, WE HAD TO IMPLEMENT MORE STRINGENT SAFETY AND SANITIZING PROTOCOLS TO PROTECT OUR CLIENTS. WE WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THIS QUICKLY AND HAVE OUR SERVICES LIMITED FOR ONLY A COUPLE OF WEEKS. |
| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4C | COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM: IN 2019, DUE TO COVID-19, WE HAD TO FOCUS ON OUR ON-LINE PRESENCE. WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO ATTEND PHYSICAL EVENTS WE TURNED TO SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL ADVERTISING STRATEGIES. THIS ALLOWED US TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY AWARE OF OUR SERVICES AND MISSION. IN 2020, THESE RESOURCES HELPED AND EQUIPPED MORE THAN 26,00 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE PANDEMIC FORCED US TO FOCUS MORE ON DIGITAL MARKETING AND EDUCATION METHODS VS. IN PERSON APPROACHES. NOT HAVING AS MANY SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AND COMMUNITY AND CAMPUS EVENTS WAS A CHALLENGE, BUT BY WORKING WITH A MARKETING FIRM AND THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX, WE WERE ABLE TO KEEP COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT HIGH. OUR OVERARCHING GOAL IS FOR EVERY TEEN AND ADULT WITHIN PCC'S SERVICE AREA TO KNOW ABOUT THE SERVICES WE OFFER AND THE WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN HELP IF THEY OR SOMEONE THEY KNOW IF FACING UNPLANNED PREGNANCY. WE WANT OUR FELLOW CITIZENS TO KNOW THERE IS HOPE AND PRACTICAL HELP AVAILABLE TO THEM AND THEIR CHILDREN, EVEN WHEN THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES FEEL IMPOSSIBLE TO THEM. WE NEVER PROFIT FROM OUR CLIENTS' CHOICES AND EXIST SIMPLY TO MAKE FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITIES STRONGER, WHICH ULTIMATELY BENEFITS US ALL. |
