| Form 990, Part XI, Line 8 Prior Period Adjustments | When IA filed 2019 taxes, we had recently discovered a large theft of cash that had occurred through a staff member. To file taxes, while we finished investigating, we wrote a loss of income in 2019 to cover the amount stolen as a reduction in income, which is reflected in this line as prior period adjustments. In 2020, upon completing the investigation, we reinstated the income, but are writing off the entirety of the theft as an expense. The income was real, but the cash was stolen. This theft by embezzlement was reported to the FBI and the employee is being prosecuted. |
