BIO-INTENSIVE GARDENING IS EXTENDED ACROSS THE COMMUNITIES BY KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF. FAMILIES RECEIVE TRAINING IN PLANTING, HARVESTING AND SEED PRESERVATION FOR THEIR BACKYARD/KITCHEN GARDENS. THIS PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES A LARGE SENIOR CENTER, ARTS EDUCATION FOR AT-RISK YOUTH, AND IRRIGATION PROJECTS TO SUPPORT THE LARGER COMMUNITY. 146,205
    2 VIBRANT VILLAGE KENYA WORKS IN THE LAKE VICTORIA REGION OF WESTERN KENYA. THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON FARM INPUT CREDIT, ADVANCED TEACHER TRAINING, TUTORING PROGRAMS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS, A FARM COOPERATIVE, ADULT EDUCATION. THE FARM INPUT PROGRAM REACHED ALMOST 1500 PEOPLE, INCREASING THEIR YIELDS AND PROFITS. THE TEACHER TRAINING REACHED 26 TEACHERS IMPACTING OVER 300 PUPILS.
