The PLAN Action Fund was established for the purpose of educational and charitable activities to promote the general welfare of low and moderate income families in Nevada; it is the political arm of PLANevada. In pursuit of this purpose, PLAN Action provides information, resources, training and education, organizing skills, leadership development, lobbying, and electoral advocacy through our members in support of progressive candidates for public office.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b A draft copy of the form 990 is provided to and approved by management prior to filing. Management reviews the draft and makes any necessary adjustments. The final draft is then approved, and the 990 is filed.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Board Members are required to disclose possible conflicts of interest when they arise, it is then addressed by the Board to determine if a conflict does exist. If a conflict is found to exist, the board member would recuse themselves from voting on the issue.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada Action Fund does not have any employees. All W-2s are issued by Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada, an unrelated organization. Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada reviews the salary of the Executive Director on an annual basis by reviewing accomplishments, review by other employees, consideration of other positions for like non-profits in the area, and then approving the annual compensation at a Board of Directors meeting.
