| Significant program services not listed on prior year return Part III line 2 | In July 2020, WCAAP began a two-year program called First Year Families to advance child and family well-being in the first year of life. Family well-being at the earliest stages of life will yield improved health for children throughout their lifetimes. WCAAP has three key functions in our First Year Families program. 1. Convene and facilitate a Systems/Advocacy Stakeholders Table around Early Childhood and Family Well-being. 2. Facilitate a quality improvement Post-Partum Mood Disorders Learning Collaborative in Pierce and Yakima Counties to ensure screening for maternal post-partum mood disorders and timely support for new parents via the pediatric medical home and strong community partnerships. 3. Launch a Paid Family and Medical Leave Campaign in pediatric medical settings in Yakima and Pierce counties in 2020 and then statewide in 2021. |

Since June 2020, WCAAP has been holding virtual meetings with state legislators in districts across the state, connecting 37 legislators from 22 different districts with nearly 60 WCAAP members. 5. WCAAP continues to build on efforts to engage residents. In 2020, we developed an Advocacy 101 curriculum for residents during their community clinic rotation to ground them in the different ways they can advocate and introduce them to ways to connect with the chapters advocacy.
