| Form 990, Part III, Line 2 | Our organization took on a new grant funded state program during this current reporting cycle that was not previously reported on the prior year 990. This program, entitled "Fatherhood Effect", is administered by the Texas Depart. of Family and Protective Services - Prevention and Early Intervention Division. (PEI) developed the Educating Fathers for Empowering Children Tomorrow (EFFECT) Program to support fathers and strengthen families through evidence-based fatherhood programs across the state. Our agency uses the EFFECT model to improve children's wellbeing by helping fathers become more involved, responsible, and committed to their children through parent education skills, guidance, and support systems. Additionally, the goal is to help fathers become more involved by increasing family functioning, social support, knowledge of parenting, child development, nurturing skills and attachment. The projected final outcomes are to reduce the risk of child maltreatment and to promote positive family well being. |
