What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We are a Volunteer Fire Department serving the communities of Red Hill and Kent Alabama to provide fire protection and rescue services. We also provide fire prevention program for both communities.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Each year the RHFD participates in numerous community outreach events. RHFD participates in the Elmore County EMA Emergency Preparedness fair each year in the Spring by providing a truck and personnel to talk to residents in county about fire prevention and other emergency topics and hand out materials for fire prevention. RHFD assists the Kowaliga Fire Dept in their annual 4th July Fireworks celebration at Lake Martin. As National Fire prevention week is held in October, members of the RHFD meet on Halloween evening at the Kent Community and Red Hill Community to hand out candy to children, fire prevention material and to talk about fire education. RHFD continues to support local communities through partipation in various parades and festivals.

29 Training - We added 4 new firefighters that are certified in 2020. Presently we are 50/50 certified department. We are striving for a 100% trained department in the future. We believe that a trained firefighter is an asset and the community benefits by each one trained and contributing to the goal of keeping both communities safe.
