What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO FOSTER CAMARADERIE AMONG UNITED STATES VETERANS OF OVERSEAS CONFLICTS. TO SERVE OUR VETERANS, THE MILITARY AND OUR COMMUNITIES IN SANTA FE AND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO. TO ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF ALL VETERANS.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 ALL LODGE RECEIPTS ARE IN CONJUNCTION WITH VETERANS ACTIVITIES WHICH INCLUDE VISITATION TO THE VETERANS HOSPITAL IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM. DURING THOSE VISITS OUR MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE CIGARETTES, MAGAZINES, TOILET ARTICLES, CLOTHING, AND OTHER ITEMS OUR VETERANS MAY NEED. THIS IS A WEEKLY ACTIVITY AND SOME FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT SUCH AS BINGO, MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT, AND OTHER GAMES ARE CONDUCTED. MEMBERS ASSIST IN SUCH ACTIVITIES WITHOUT COMPENSATION. FUNDS ARE ALSO DISBURSED FOR COLOR GUARD AND FIRING SQUAD ACTIVITIES FOR MILITARY FUNERALS, RENTAL OF WHEELCHAIRS, AND DONATIONS TO DISABLED VETERANS IN DISTRESS. FUNDS ARE ALSO DISBURSED FOR CHRISTMAS PARTIES FOR HANDICAPPED CHILDREN. FUNDS ARE ALSO USED TO SPONSOR GIRLS AND BOYS BASEBALL TEAMS IN LITTLE LEAGUE.
